Ganesh S. Lakshminarayanan is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Capillary Technologies. He is responsible for Capillary’s global revenue growth, profitability, and scaling it to be the product bellwether from Asia. Ganesh also serves on the board of Capillary.

Ganesh has spent the last three years in the India’s start-up ecosystem. Before joining Capillary, he was a senior advisor at Sequoia Capital and was associated with some of their portfolio companies like Mu Sigma, BankBazar, Porter, and Capillary Technologies.

Ganesh also served as Senior Advisor to EY on an entrepreneurial venture. Ganesh is also an advisor to many start-ups and he currently works with Practo, Belong, and Mahiti. Before joining the start-up ecosystem, Ganesh worked at Dell for fifteen years, where he served on various leadership roles including the President and Managing Director for Dell India. He started his Dell career in Austin where he led Dell’s e-support group for Home, Small and Medium Business groups world-wide and e-commerce group for America’s Enterprise business. He was instrumental in starting Dell’s operations in India fifteen years ago. He led the planning, funding, and start-up of its operations at Bangalore in 2001, scaled it to 15000 people by 2011, and built the foundation for a billion-dollar domestic market business in India. He also led Dell’s global consumer and small medium business services group and built half-a-billion-dollar point of need services business. In his last role at Dell, he led the Asia Pacific and Japan sales operations. Before joining Dell, Ganesh worked in the consulting industry for eight years.

Ganesh has an MBA with high distinction from the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and BS in Computer Science and Engineering with top honor as gold medalist, from Anna University in Chennai, India. Ganesh served twice as elected member in the NASSCOM executive council which is the industry body for Indian IT/ITES sector and FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry). He is on the board of a learning platform company – Linkstreet. He is also a founding member of Social Venture Partners @Bangalore and member of Indian Angels Network.
