Appointed in April 2017, Venu Nair is the Chief Commercial Officer for Trent Ltd., which is a part of the Tata Group. Trent houses the Westside, Zudio and Landmark brands. His role focuses on delivering the latest fashion to its customers across the country.

Westside, is one of the largest own brand retailers in India, with 144 stores, across 80+ cities. With a sharp focus on young fashion, the brand brings the latest global trends, across Westernwear and Indianwear, to its customers, ensuring that these ranges are available at the same time as when these trends hit the fashion forward markets of the world. This is done by bringing speed into its supply chain and working closely with its supply base, owning the entire process from design to store

Before taking up this role, Venu was the Managing Director for the Joint Venture of Marks & Spencer Reliance from 2012 to 2017. Prior to that, he was the Head of Region for South Asia of the Sourcing of M&S’ global business and also the Director for Marks & Spencer India. In his career spanning over 25 years he has worked in London and various parts of South Asia, including stints with Madura Garments and Arvind Mills

Venu is a Mechanical Engg from NIT, Calicut and has done his MBA in Marketing from SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai
