Vishak Kumar is the CEO of Madura Fashion & Lifestyle (MF&L), a business unit of Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. (ABFRL). He spearheads India’s most iconic fashion brands such as Louis Philippe, Van Heusen, Allen Solly and Peter England.

An alumnus of IIM Bangalore and a qualified Computer Engineer from BIT Ranchi, Vishak joined Madura as a Management Trainee in 1995.

As the COO for Louis Philippe, Vishak is credited for accelerating the brand’s growth to make it the largest, most profitable and undisputed leader in the premium men’s apparel segment.  Known for his mentoring skills, Vishak brought about a transformation in the fashion business by training and developing 400 fashion consultants across the business.

Vishak was the CEO of Aditya Birla Retail Limited (ABRL) from 2014 to 2016. During this time, he spearheaded the Supermarket and Hypermarket business which is amongst the leading food and grocery retail companies in the country. Vishak’s contribution to modern retail has set new benchmarks for the food and grocery business with its `Quality 1 st ’signature brand philosophy.

In his 24 years with the organization, Vishak’s contribution to the Group and fashion and retail industry is noteworthy. In 2014, Vishak received the ‘ABG Chairman’s Award for Outstanding Leader’. He was also conferred upon the prestigious title of ‘Aditya Birla Fellow’ by the Group in 2015.

A keen sportsperson, Vishak enjoys squash, badminton and tennis.
